If you’ve never played with R/C toys before, you’ll suddenly become a fan after having a go with the Tonka Ricochet. Both kids and adults will have so much fun with this toy. It’s a great toy to play with and it’s possible your pets might even take an interest in it.  It’s even a great way for you to give your dogs a good exercise now.

The Features of the Tonka Ricochet

-Two-sided stunt vehicle

-A Charger

-Remote Control

-9V battery for the controller

-9.6 V battery (rechargeable) for the Tonka Ricochet

Tonka Ricochet – Pros for this RC Vehicle

Anyone who has a passion for R/C toys will find this little thing actually easy to control.   You can control it over hard surfaces, gravelly terrain or you can even go with a mix of all the terrains and you wouldn’t have a problem.  For added fun, you might even like to make a ramp for the Tonka Ricochet to go through. And although it comes crashing down from a very high incline, you’ll be surprised at its durability. The Monster Lift Suspension ups the game and is the edge of the Tonka Ricochet over the competition. With other R/C having only one choice for play mode, you actually have two modes or stunts to choose for this toy.  You can either drive it low or you can drive it high. You might like to take it for a spin by driving it low to the ground.  And when you make use of the monster lift suspension, it’s like you’re driving it on air.

The Cons of Tonka Ricochet

One of the downside of the Tonka Ricochet is that you have to take the batteries out of the toy when you need to charge it.  This process would be a breeze if you can just pop out the battery cover but then, that wouldn’t say enough for the durability of the toy if it falls out even on the smallest of jumps, would it?  Yes, that’s right- you’ve got to get yourself a screwdriver to take the batteries out.  If you’re having fun with your Tonka Ricochet, this will truly put a damper on your excitement.  You might dread losing battery power because you have to recharge your batteries again and that would mean the tedious task of taking the batteries out. If you plan on going out into the neighborhood with your Tonka Ricochet, you have to know that it wouldn’t get the signal from the controller at approximately 30 yards.  So if your child is playing with this, you have to be on the lookout.  They might step into the street trying to recover their toy but on the upside, with this vehicle having the ability to go past three to four homes, your child will easily make new friends.

Tonka Ricochet- The Final Verdict

Other than the downsides, you’ll have a great amount of enjoyment when you’re playing the Tonka Ricochet.  For your eight year old, for you or even for your dog, it’s going to be a great source of fun.  Experience the excitement and the thrill of playing with an R/C car today.  One of the best choices would be the Tonka Ricochet- that is, if you come in with a screwdriver handy.

Recently my friend bought one of these. It can go! I want one too, but how long is it’s lifetime?

    • Jeff says:

Hi Alex. It depends on how heavily you use it. My original Ricochet lasted 2 years, but I treated it like it was made from titanium! The one I have now we’ve had for 18 months and it’s still going very strong…definitely got my month’s worth!
